Rotarians Ned and Bunny Schwentker have been working in Honduras to build a hospital to serve the needy. Ned, an orthopaedic surgeon, has also been working to cure club foot in Honduran children, a project that Rotary recently awarded a grant to help fund. Both projects are done through CURE International. Geradine Luongo, grants manager for CURE International, a Lemoyne-based Christian charity, spoke to the club on Monday, March 12.

Ted Kleisner, a member of Hershey Entertainment & Resort Co.’s board of directors since 1995, took over as CEO on Jan. 1. Ted Kleisner, the new CEO of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Co. (HE&R) spoke to the club on Monday, March 5, introducing himself and giving a broad overview of his plans for the company.

The Susquehanna River requires a governing body to monitor its flow, whether too much water, or too much withdrawal from industry. Michael G. Brownell, chief, Water Resources Management Division of the Susquehanna River Basin Commission, spoke to the Rotary Club on Monday, Feb. 26. Brownell spoke about the commission’s role in maintaining proper water levels on the river.
